Absolutely hilarious. I once proofread a legal brief where a student claimed to be an intern at the “Pubic Defender’s Office”. Fortunately, that version never made it to the judge.
There’s also the story floating around about a lawyer who didn’t notice that the auto find/replace spell check feature changed every instance of “sua sponte” (Latin for “on the court’s own motion”) to “sea sponge”.
